From message to done in three steps
Hover a message
A green + appears beside every message in WhatsApp Web, in chats and in groups.
Check and add
The task name, contact and due date are filled in from the message. Change anything, then press Enter.
Get reminded, reply
When it's due you get a reminder. Reply now opens that exact chat with the cursor in the message box.
It reads dates the way people write them
Nobody writes “2026-10-12 17:00” in a chat. Chat to Task understands how your clients actually say it, in seven languages, and sets the due date for you.

Is Chat to Task free?
Yes. Every feature on this page is free. A paid plan for teams may come later; the free features will stay free.
Does it work on the WhatsApp phone app?
It works on WhatsApp Web (web.whatsapp.com) in Google Chrome on your computer. Tasks you create there remind you on that computer.
Can it read or send my messages?
It only reads a message when you click + on it, to fill in the task. It never sends a message by itself: follow-ups are typed into the box and you decide whether to press send.
What happens if I change computers?
Sign in with Google in the dashboard and turn on backup. On the new computer, install Chat to Task, sign in with the same account and your tasks come back.
Is it made by WhatsApp?
No. Chat to Task is an independent extension and is not affiliated with WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc.
Something isn't working. What do I do?
Visit the support page or message us on WhatsApp. WhatsApp updates its website often; we usually fix breakages within two days.
